My girlfriend and I won a silent auction the other day at the Wild Game dinner in Kendall county. We got a gift certificate to Luciano Italian restaurant in San Antonio. We have never been here before and were very pleased with finding a very nice family run restaurant. But the real surprise was was the food! I had the veal piccata with pasta and mix vegetables. The veal was so tender you do not need a knife. The sauce was very well balanced, just the right amount of butter, garlic, olive oil, lemon and capers. My pasta was excellent, cooked al dente, just as it should be. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, firm but not over cooked. It was a truly perfect meal. My girlfriend had the Shrimp Luciano. Her meal was just as excellent as mine. The shrimp were very large and lots of them. We also shared their bread with olive oil. To finish the meal off, dessert of course. My favorite was the limonchello cake and the Italian cream cake. We will be back!
WORTH EVERY PENNY! I was on the hunt for a new pizza place and I came across this location! The minute I walk in all the wonderful smells hit me at once and I was greeted by two lovely girls. When I ask them what they recommend they said the Margarita and the supreme and I decide to get both on the 18in New York style crust I waited for 25 minutes which wasn't bad becuase I could see the pizza man making my pizza freshly and the two you 2 girls in the front offered me a glass of wine. Once I got my pizza I went home and opened it up and it was the best smelling thing on earth not even my wife could resist it! In other words THIS PLACE IS THE BEST and I will come back again!
We were in SA visiting my husband's family and he remembered that Luciano's had good pizza and they have GF options, which I have to have, so we ordered pick-up. Pick-up went perfectly and right on time, but when I got home my GF pizza looked exactly like the other pizzas, which is never the case, so I called to ask. While they were checking with the kitchen they pulled up my order and said they didn't see where I ordered GF... so I pulled up my receipt and they were right! In my haste to order I had not selected the right pizza. Over the phone the gentleman helping me offered to remake my pizza with the GF crust and I said I would come get it and pay since it was my mistake. When I got back to the restaurant my GF pizza was ready, he double checked it for me to be sure, and refused to let me pay! All of the pizzas were delicious, my children loved their standard pepperoni and cheese pizzas, my husband was as happy with the pepperoni rolls as he remembered being, and both my GF pizza and overall experience were wonderful. Huge thank you to the wonderful people working there for being so sweet about my dumb mistake and making great food with a great attitude and perfect customer service. We will be back!
Always good, always fresh, was dying for some pizza so we decided to head on over here for an impromptu lunch date before the hubs headed to work.
A late lunch with friends. The food was great, and the staff was lovely. We took advantage of the lunch specials - lasagna and salad or your choice of pizza and salad. A good time was had by all. Portions were generous, and we all too some food home too.
